1. Acceptance of these terms
By using the Cultural Therapy website, the Cultural Therapy app, our peer support circles or the P.O.E.T.I.C. T.R.A.P programme (People Opening Eyes To Inspire Change Through Rhymes And Poetry), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the services. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Cultural Therapy, London.
2. The nature of our services
We provide culturally sensitive wellbeing support, peer support and creative programmes. Information on this website and in the app is general in nature. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for advice from your GP or another qualified health professional. Always seek professional advice about your own circumstances, and never delay or disregard it because of something you have read here.
3. We are not an emergency service
We do not monitor messages around the clock and we cannot respond to crises. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health support, call 111 and choose option 2. Samaritans are free on 116 123, at any time of day.
4. Who can use our services
The website and app are intended for people aged 16 and over. Younger people are welcome in specific programmes where a parent, carer or referring professional has agreed to their taking part. Some services, including P.O.E.T.I.C. T.R.A.P, are available by referral only and are subject to a suitability assessment.
5. Accounts
If you create an account in the app, keep your login details private and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.
6. Community conduct
Our spaces are shared by people talking about difficult things. When taking part you agree to:
- Treat others with respect, and not harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone.
- Keep what other people share confidential, and not record or repost it.
- Not give medical advice, promote products, or recruit for other services.
- Not post anything unlawful, threatening or deliberately distressing.
We may remove content or ask someone to leave a group where these expectations are not met.
7. Programmes and referrals
Places on our programmes are limited and offered at our discretion. We will confirm arrangements with you in writing. Please tell us as soon as you can if you cannot attend a session, so the place can be offered to someone else. We may end a placement where attendance stops, where it is no longer the right support, or where the conduct expectations above are not met.
8. Your content
Anything you write, record or create in our spaces remains yours. By sharing it with us you give us permission to store and display it as needed to run the service. We will not publish your work or use it in our materials without asking you first.
9. Our content
The Cultural Therapy name, logo, written material, resources and design are owned by us or used with permission. You may read, download and share them for your own personal use. You may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written agreement.
10. Third-party links and services
This site links to other organisations, including the Cultural Therapy app and P.O.E.T.I.C. T.R.A.P, and to external resources and helplines. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the website and app available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of them. We may also update these terms; the current version is always the one on this page, with the date shown at the top.
12. Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, general information published here, or from any interruption to the services. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions about them can go to culturaltherapy.co.uk@gmail.com.
These terms are a general template and are not legal advice. Please have them reviewed before you publish, and check they match how your services actually run.
